Lyric Demo & Fitting

Described as the contact lens for your ear, Phonak Lyric is a small, but highly sophisticated device. It is placed directly in the ear canal close to the ear drum, by a trained audiologist, and it stays in for up to four months, without any discomfort. During this time the devices don't need removed - not for sleeping, showering, going to the gym, etc. Phonak Lyric devices have also been known to help those suffering from tinnitus due to not needing removed at any point - especially at nighttime when tinnitus is known to be worse for many. Your audiologist will be able to discuss if Phonak Lyric is a suitable option for you, and offer a demo and fitting appointment.

Lyric Refit

Your Lyric Refit appointment is a short appointment, where your device is replaced with a new Lyric device – either due to a scheduled removal or due to any issues arising.

Since your measurements had been taken at your demo and fitting appointment, the refit appointment is usually quick and rest assured, every new Lyric fitted will have the latest updated improvements, at no extra cost, meaning you don’t need to wait 3-5 years to upgrade your device like you may do with traditional hearing aids.

Your Lyric device will usually last up to a period of four months before needing replaced. This length of time depends on variables, such as individual ear conditions, level of hearing loss and environmental noise level.
