Job Title: Audiologist – Hearing Aid Dispenser HCPC registered

Report to: Managing Director & Training Manager

Company : The Hearing Clinic UK

Full Time – Mon-Fri 9am-5.30pm

Salary : £36k plus potential of £5k golden hello (T&Cs apply), OTE £60-80k

The Hearing Clinic is an independent, entrepreneurial, retail audiology firm that has experienced double-digit growth in the last few years. But … you’ve seen lots of ads like this, so what makes us different and why should you apply?

Well, firstly, we are embarking on the next, ambitious phase of our growth strategy, in which we’ll expand from a £3M a year business to a £10M-£15M business over the next five years. Secondly, for our specialities, we are one of the largest independent practices, with one of the biggest sites, in Europe. Thirdly, unlike many high street brands, we put the patient experience at the heart of what we do, offering everyone who passes through our doors the time they need to get the results they want; all underpinned by an unsurpassed attention to detail and customer care, cutting edge equipment, bespoke consultation rooms and a forensic focus on hearing. And fourthly, we have an in-house training academy, where we upskill all our staff, including, if necessary, the training required to offer paediatric audiologist services. You’ll also have monthly one-to-ones, plus (naturally) we pay for any governing body memberships and registrations required.

Your role will be to guide your patients through the full audiology care journey; from identification and diagnosis of hearing loss, treatment of hearing difficulties, ear wax removal, irrigation, manual extraction, referring to appropriate medical specialists as required, the creation of hearing packages and their accompanying reports, as well as assessment and reporting for medical legal purposes.

Put simply, we are seeking to enlist and develop you into a world-class audiologist: someone who delivers our market-leading care journey to assist as many patients as possible by giving exceptional, highly professional, up-front service and after care.

Ideally, you’ll have several years’ experience with another commercial provider, with demonstrable, or latent, sales skills.  You should also bring a ‘can-do’ attitude and a demonstrable willingness to work as part of a team committed to excellence in every aspect of its work.

In return, we offer an excellent OTE package, plus, where applicable, the potential for a ‘golden hello’ of up to £5K.  And as a family-owned business, you’ll enjoy a vibrant, friendly working environment with lots of encouragement to attend seminars and gain additional training. Finally, because we are expanding so fast, there is an excellent upward trajectory to the business so your career prospects are first-class.
